Somatic therapy helps you tune into what your body is carrying and create space for it to soften and settle. As tension and patterns begin to release through the nervous system, you can feel more grounded, present, and able to respond to life with greater flexibility, choice, and a sense of ease.
-
Yes. Our conversations are different from traditional therapy because we pay attention to both your words and your body’s responses. We may pause to notice sensations, explore how memories and stories live in your body, or uncover emotional insights.
Some sessions focus more on talking, others on movement or body awareness, especially during TRE.
Your nervous system guides what’s needed, whether that’s being witnessed, moving, or both.
-
Over time, this work can help your body release held tension, your nervous system feel steadier, and your mind and body respond to life with more presence, flexibility, and choice.
Every person’s experience is unique, and progress shows up in ways your body knows before your mind does.

Yes, I maintain a set number of sliding scale spots that open up as my schedule allows. Please reach out to be added to the list.

I operate as a private pay practice, which allows me to offer the specialized time and attention your healing deserves without insurance limitations.
I can provide you with a superbill for potential reimbursement from your insurance company. This would require me to give you a diagnosis.

Somatic therapy may be right for you if you notice tension, stress, or anxiety in your body, sense there’s more your body wants to share, or want a gentle approach that includes your whole self: mind, body, and nervous system.
-
No. Somatic therapy supports anyone whose body holds tension, overwhelm, or patterns that limit ease and choice. You don’t need a label to benefit from noticing and working with what your body already knows.
-
No, but many of the people I work with are highly sensitive or neurodivergent. Somatic therapy supports anyone who wants to reconnect with their body, nervous system, and natural sense of ease and presence.
-
Every session is guided by your nervous system. We create safety first, noticing what your body holds, and then explore ways to release tension and support integration. You may talk, move, breathe, or pause in stillness. We are guided by whatever your system needs on that day.

TRE, or Tension & Trauma Release Exercises, helps your body release stored stress and tension through its natural tremoring mechanism. It is gentle, non-invasive, and guided by your body’s own wisdom rather than forcing anything.
In a session, you will learn simple exercises that invite your nervous system to release what it has been holding. Many people notice feeling more relaxed, grounded, and resilient afterward. TRE can be especially helpful for anxiety, chronic tension, or difficulty sleeping.
-
No. Somatic work can be highly effective without retelling your story. Your body knows what happened and holds the capacity to navigate healing without your mind having to relive the details.
You are always welcome to share what feels important, but it is not required. We can work with what your body is experiencing right now, at your pace.

Wear comfortable clothes that allow for easy movement: think yoga attire or loose, breathable fabrics, even pajamas.
For TRE® sessions, you'll be lying on a yoga mat and blanket. No special preparation is needed beyond arriving as you are. Your body will guide us to exactly what's needed in each moment.

I’m flexible with scheduling to meet the needs of your nervous system. Most clients start with weekly or bi-weekly sessions and adjust based on what feels supportive. Some choose a more intensive pace for a period of time, while others prefer a gradual approach.
As your nervous system builds momentum, sessions may become less frequent or shift from 50 to 30 minutes. We always follow what your body and system need, rather than a predetermined schedule.
