Hello, I'm Andrea Rábago
LMFT, Certified TRE® Provider
So glad you found your way here.
You can read about my approach below, but you might like to know that I understand what it's like when your mind has done all the work but your body is still carrying old survival patterns. I navigate my own healing journey with chronic autoimmune symptoms, listening to what my body has been trying to tell me.
For a while, I thought I had processed my experiences, but my body was telling a different story through tension, fatigue, irritability, and symptoms I couldn't explain. I didn't realize trauma was still living in my body, even though I'd intellectually worked through so much. It wasn't until I learned to work with my nervous system and listen to my body through somatic therapy that real healing began to unfold and my relationships with myself and others started to transform. This journey inspired me to support others on this path, or those wanting to get on this path.
How We Work Together
I craft therapy from a psychodynamic, attachment-based lens, exploring your subconscious patterns and hidden beliefs while understanding how past experiences continue to shape your current life. Through experiential practices and somatic awareness, we work from the bottom up through your body, emotions, and nervous system rather than focusing primarily on thoughts.
We listen deeply to your words, body wisdom, and energy patterns to understand your unique healing landscape. You're always in the driver's seat, choosing what to address and when. Together, we create the right pace for your nervous system to feel safe enough to release what it no longer needs to hold.
You might be navigating things like chronic pain, sleep disturbances, anxiety, relationship challenges, or patterns that feel stuck or out of your control despite your best efforts to change them. You may also feel disconnected from any emotion. Where you are is where we start. I tend to lean away from pathology and diagnosis unless it truly serves your understanding and empowerment.
I have extensive training in the areas of trauma, dissociation, and complex conditions of mind and body and recognize the essential connection between physical and emotional wellbeing. Together we will address underlying causes rather than just managing symptoms to create lasting transformation.
About Me
I identify as neurodivergent and highly sensitive, and I bring that sensitivity into our work as wisdom. It allows me to honor the subtle language of your body, energy, and emotions. Your sensitivity, whether you identify with it or not, is welcome here.
Creating space where your natural healing capacity can emerge is what matters most to me. My approach offers gender affirming care and deeply human therapy rooted in warmth, inclusivity, safety, and genuine connection.

Methodologies I Incorporate Into My Practice
Relational Neurobiology & Attachment Understanding
I draw from the science of interpersonal neurobiology (IPNB) and attachment theory to help us understand how early experiences shaped your nervous system and emotional patterns. This awareness can bring big insights into current challenges and help you recognize and shift unconscious patterns rooted in the past.
Memory Reconsolidation for Lasting Change
When a painful memory is reactivated in a safe, supportive environment and met with a new corrective experience, the brain has the ability to rewrite the emotional impact of that memory. This process, known as memory reconsolidation, is key to gentle and lasting transformation. We create the conditions for your brain to naturally update old experiences so they serve your life now, not keep you stuck in the past.
Visualization, Meditation & Active Imagination
Using guided practices, we create space to connect with your inner world and body sensations. These experiences assist with grounding, unwinding the body, and rewiring the brain for meaningful transformation.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) Integration
Through dialogue with the different parts of yourself, we help you work toward greater internal harmony. This allows you to reclaim more energy, balance, freedom, and self-trust.
Somatic Practices & Body-Based Healing
Approaches like breathwork and TRE® (Trauma Releasing Exercises) help release deeply held tension and trauma energy stored in the body and living tissues. These practices support your nervous system, increase resilience, and reconnect you with your body.
